How Wear AI handles your data, in one place — what stays on your device, what leaves it, and the controls you have.
Overview
Wear AI works without an account. There is no profile of you on our servers: your saved looks, closet, collections, sizes and preferences live only in this browser.
The only thing that leaves your device is what a recommendation needs: when you ask for an outfit, your choices are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate it, and outfit illustrations are generated from garment names and colors only. We do not sell data — there is no account database to sell from.
How your data is used
Recommendation inputs (age, body shape, skin tone, weather, occasion, style, language) are sent to OpenAI to generate your outfit. We ask OpenAI not to store the request; OpenAI states API data is not used to train its models unless a customer opts in, and abuse-monitoring logs may be kept for up to 30 days.
Browser-local data (saved looks, closet items and photos, collections, profile details, sizes, preferences) is used only by the app in this browser — to show your closet, build looks from it, and remember your settings. Share links contain the look only, never your inputs or photos. Analytics receive event counts only (visits, saves, shares, taps), never your inputs, results or photos.
Photos & your closet
Photos you add to your closet or profile are resized in your browser and stored only in this browser (local storage). They are never uploaded to our servers, never sent to the AI provider, and Wear AI does not analyze them.
You can remove a closet photo any time from the item's page in My Closet, replace your profile photo in Profile, or erase everything at once under Manage my data below.
Your controls
These switches write the same settings the app itself uses — changing them here changes them in the app, on this device only.
Manage my data
Download a copy of everything this browser holds for Wear AI (saved looks, closet, collections, profile, sizes and preferences) as a JSON file, or delete it all from this browser. Deleting cannot be undone. Copies that OpenAI may hold for abuse monitoring (up to about 30 days) are outside our control and cannot be deleted by us.
Wear AI does not send push notifications yet — these are saved preferences only, stored in this browser.
Data security
The site is hosted on Vercel and served over HTTPS. Because your personal data is not stored on our servers, there is no server-side copy to breach: the local copy is protected by your browser and your device's own security (for example your device passcode).
Access to our hosting and provider accounts is limited to the team that runs Wear AI. We do not claim certifications or audits we do not have — if that changes, this page will say so.
Third-party services
OpenAI — generates outfit recommendations and illustrations (see above for exactly what is sent). Vercel — hosts the site and provides visit analytics (counts only). Ahrefs — visit analytics (counts only). Google Fonts — serves the site's fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google.
Wear AI has no advertising networks, no affiliate shopping links, and no weather or maps integrations. If a third-party service is added, it will be listed here before or when it launches.
Children's privacy
Wear AI is a general-audience style tool and is not directed at children under 13. It has no accounts and collects no personal information on its servers from anyone, of any age. A parent or guardian can remove everything the app holds by using Delete under Manage my data, or by clearing the browser's site data.
